Julia Reneau

Hi there! I’m Julia, a sophomore at SUNY Adirondack. I originate from the pristine Lake George area of upstate New York, which is located in the southern foothills of the Adirondacks. When it comes to art, my medium of preference is digital drawing, however, I still thoroughly enjoy working with physical mediums such as paints (oils, acrylic, and watercolor), pastels, inks, charcoal, photography, and graphite. The study of light and shadow are the key elements in the majority of my finished works.  I draw inspiration through my fascination with color and light, often finding myself observing objects, settings, plants, people’s unique features, and other living creatures to use as references to aid in the quality of my work.  Being mindful and bringing my awareness to the bustling, beautiful, and intriguing world I am surrounded by is what fuels me to keep my creative outlet!
